Our world is experiencing a global "storm" — we trust you are taking precautionary measures best suited for your location and family.
During times of crisis and worry like this, it's even more important to continue (or begin!) your wellness practices to keep energy flowing. Rather than allowing stress to take root in your body, you can learn to embrace daily challenges with self-care and self-compassion to make a shift from fearfulness to mindfullness. You can work with the energetics of stress and transform it to the energy of vitality and creativity.
John and Mary Jo are stepping forward with more online resources to help you gracefully navigate this storm (and others that may come your way). Our aim is to be a light in the storm — to help you find connection instead of isolation; and learn to turn worry and anxiety into thoughtful care; transform depression and a sense of loss into compassion and knowing; and transmute distress into courage.
Through our unique practices you will learn how transforming your emotional state supports you in healing physically and leads to spiritual development too. To be able to serve, connect, and support you from the comfort and safety of your home, we are commencing Online Sessions.
Practices during all of our classes and workshops offer real-time connection with John and Mary Jo and dozens of others in community. Through Online sessions, you will:
- Practice movements designed to relieve, relax and manage chronic pain.
- Discover how to activate the relaxation response and experience a deep state of calmness.
- Teach the mind and body to rest with a sense of safety rather than chronic emergency.
- Let Mary Jo guide you through deep relaxation and meditation practices.
- Draw on John's martial arts and Healing Qi Gong experience to compliment your learning.
- Develop core and leg strength for optimum back health and balance.
- Conclude with a restorative and a meditation practice leaving you rebalanced and restored.
- Experience deep connection with energy, community and humanity beyond distance and time.
- Learn to receive, cultivate, and bring loving and healing energy to your home.
About Us
Mary Jo and John are trained in Therapeutic Yoga from Loyola Marymount University, and the Stress Center of Marin where they also served as Teaching faculty. They completed training as iRest meditation teachers from Dr Richard Miller. iRest is a research-based practice of deep meditation and self inquiry for trauma, anxiety, PTSD, relaxation, resiliency and general well-being. John has 20 years experience in Martial Arts and holds a black belt in karate and 10 years of teaching group Yoga classes. They have studied with teachers Dr. Baxter Bell on Healthy Aging, Mingtong Gu, Master Li and Dr. Liu Dong, (Healing Medical Qi Gong) Master Li Jufeng and Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater.
Class Prices
Private sessions are 75 minutes. $85 per session, per person or small group, or save money by buying a pass: $300 for 6 classes, (valid for 3 months from the date of purchase). Accepting individuals, partners and small groups up to 4. Included in your private sessions is your own password-protected webpage with session notes, recommended reading and videos. Pay by cash, card or PayPal.
